What are iPoints?

iPoints is the currency you receive when you bank your timeshare week with iExchange. All accommodation is rated according to a quality and demand criteria and iPoints are awarded per unit type, resort or period of accommodation. iPoints is also the currency you use, when you come to make a booking at the resort, destination and in the time frame that suits you.

Today's Value:

This is the iPoints we'll give you if you bank your timeshare week today. If the result says “0 iPoints” it means you are due to occupy your unit in the next 0 to 29 days. Don’t worry though – you can still bank. Read more about this below under "On-risk Banking Explained".

Best Value:

This is the maximum amount of iPoints we will award you if you bank your timeshare week more than 180 days before occupation. Read more about this below under “Banking Early Benefit”

Banking Early Benefit

If you bank early you get extra iPoints over and above your week's value. Here's how we calculate this:

If you bank your week 180 days or more before your occupation date we will give you an additional 10% iPoints value. That's great value for money!
Alternatively if you bank your timeshare week anywhere from 60 to 179 days before your occupation date you will get your full iPoints value.
From then onwards you would get 80% iPoints value for 59 - 39 days before, 60% for 38 to 29 days before and from 29 to 0 days before, you would be putting your iPoints value at risk.

On-risk Banking Explained

You can literally bank right up to the last minute - even the day before the occupation date. This is what we call on-risk banking. If we are able to book someone else into your week we will give you the number of iPoints that we were able to book it out for. Usually it would be substantially less than if you banked earlier because we very often run last-minute specials to move our stock at a discounted rate. This in turn means you will get the "discounted" number of iPoints for your week.
